Duterte hits back at Sison

Published

on

President Rodrigo Duterte sent harsher threats to Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) Founding Chairman Jose Maria Sison.

This after Sison said that he will order CPP’s armed wing, New People’s Army (NPA), to kill one soldier a day if the government sticks to its decision to not conduct any peace negotiations with the Reds.

The president was undaunted and said that he too can order the military to kill five rebels for every soldier killed.

“I can order my military to kill five rebels for every single soldier killed. Get it on. As long as they are NPA’s, whether female or male, kill them,” Duterte said.

The president also said that Sison wants to take his seat in Malacañang.

“He wants to succeed me. No question about that. He’s a Filipino. I don’t know if he really is a Filipino because his face looks like he is from Taiwan. He wants to be chosen as the president, no question about that,” Duterte said.

This condemnation from Duterte came after Sison said that the NPA can “knock out at least one AFP soldier every day in 17 regions.”
