MANILA— The provinces of Ilocos, Apayao, Batanes, and the islands of Calayan and Northern Luzon to experience moderate to heavy rains Monday

Babuyan will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides as a frontal system continues to affect extreme northern Luzon, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Monday.

The agency added that southwest monsoon is affecting the western part of northern and central Luzon.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Zambales and the rest of Cordillera region.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds will blow from southwest to south over Luzon, and from southeast to south over the Visayas and Mindanao.

The country’s coastal waters will be slight to moderate, PAGASA said.
