MANILA—Troopers have captured a New People’s Army (NPA) camp in Remedios T. Romualdez town, Agusan Del Norte province Wednesday morning.

Capt. Joe Patrick Martinez, 4th Infantry Division public affairs office chief, said the operation and subsequent clash with NPA forces took place at around 9:50 a.m. at Sitio Kahanginan, Barangay San Antonio.

In the five-minute firefight, the rebel force of about 10 men quickly retreated and left behind their camp which can accommodate at least 15 armed rebels.

The military also seized an M-14 automatic rifle, subversive documents and assorted food stuff, Martinez said.
