MANILA—Joint military and police units have arrested a ranking female member of the New People’s Army (NPA)’s Komiteng Rehiyong-Negros (KR-N) during operations in Bacolod City Tuesday night.

3rd Infantry Division spokesperson Lt. Col. Erickson Rosana identified the arrested rebel as Rowena Quilop, KR-N Regional Finance Bureau deputy secretary.

The latter was nabbed around 6:40 p.m. based on the arrest warrant issued for murder by the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 60, Cadiz City.

Rosana said Quilop was nabbed by military and police units at the vicinity of San Juan Street, Barangay 10, Bacolod City.

He added that the rebel leader was brought to Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office for booking and documentation.
