MANILA — Following the all-time low ratings recorded in March, President Benigno Aquino III seemed to have redeemed himself as his satisfaction ratings increased by 10 percent this month.

Latest results of the Social Weather Stations poll, first published in Business World indicated that Aquino’s satisfaction ratings increased from 47 percent in March to 57 percent this month.

The recent survey conducted from June 5 to 8 showed a big improvement in Aquino’s net satisfaction rating from moderate +11 rating to “good” +30.

It could be noted that Aquino has recorded an all-time low in the survey last March.

But this month, the number of dissatisfied Filipinos dropped to 27 percent (from 36 percent) and only 15 percent remained undecided (from 17 percent).

Aquino got the highest net satisfaction rating of +39 in Mindanao, followed by Visayas +35 and Luzon with +30.

The survey’s scoring are as follows: +70 and above, “excellent;” +50 to +69, “very good;” +30 to +49, “good;” +10 to +29, “moderate;” +9 to -9, “neutral;” -10 to -29, “poor;” -30 to -49, “bad;” -50 to -69, “very bad;” -70 and below, “execrable.”

The palace, meanwhile welcomed the results of the survey adding that the President is “gratified” with the results.

Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said that they are thankful that the public “recognize the efforts of his administration to improve the delivery of public services and continue implementing vital reforms so that the fruits of good governance and may be sustained and made permanent.”

“We will intensify efforts to accelerate the development of public infrastructure, broaden social protection, and strengthen public institutions so that the ultimate objective of achieving long-term inclusive growth may be attained,” he added as quoted in a Philippine Daily Inquirer report.
