MANILA – Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban will be playing the role of the iconic mother, Claudia Buenavista, in ABS-CBN’s ‘Pangako Sa’yo’ remake.

Panganiban will then portray the mother of lead actor Daniel Padilla.

(Actually, if you will ask me, I’d like to do it now. But then, I’m taking into consideration some people’s opinion because it’s not that easy as it’s my first time to play the role of a mother and he’s not below 10 years old, he’s already a teenager.)

So ‘yun, nag-yes ako,” Panganiban added.

(I’m serious about considering if I will be seen as a mother [to Daniel]. So, I asked Mrs. Malou Santos of Star Cinema. I said, ‘Is it believable?’ her answer to me was, ‘I believe that you can.’ So that’s what I held on to, when Mrs. Malou believed in me. Why will I doubt myself? So, I said yes.)

‘Pangako Sa’Yo’s pilot episode will air on May 25 after ‘TV Patrol.’
