‘Kathniel’ a hit at the box office, movie makes P110M in five days

MANILA – The popular love tandem of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo – shipped together as ‘Kathniel” – is raking it in at the box office with their latest movie, “Crazy Beautiful You.” The flick has already earned P110 million five days since its opening, making P32-million on opening day.

Bernardo recently appeared as a guest on Kris Aquino’s TV show, “The Buzz”, during which the box office earnings were revealed.

Speaking on behalf of Padilla, as well, the actress thanked all those who went to see the movie, wehich is now showing in 226 cinemas across the nation.

“Again, gusto kong magpasalamat sa inyong lahat. Sobrang saya namin. Lahat ng hard work ng team, nagpe-pay off. Maraming, maraming salamat. Sa lahat ng nagpa-block screenings na mga fans namin, thank you so much. Pupuntahan namin lahat hangga’t kaya namin,” said Bernardo.

“Crazy Beautiful You” is written by Carmi Raymundo and directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar. A romantic comedy, it tells the story of a love that develops during a medical mission to Mt. Pinatubo, Tarlac. The movie also stars Gabby Concepcion, Lorna Tolentino, and Inigo Pascual.
