Plane carrying PH cabinet members loses control, crashes before takeoff

MANILA — A private plane carrying several cabinet members lost control before take off and crashed on the Tacloban Airport runway, January 17, Saturday.

The VIP plane was carrying 3 crew members and 12 passengers, including Communications Sec. Sonny Coloma and Executive Sec. Paquito Ochoa, who were in Tacloban for Pope Francis’ visit to the Yolanda-hit city.

No injuries or fatalities were reported.

Meanwhile, the plane carrying Pope Francis has landed safely at Villamor Air Base at 2:15 PM Saturday.
