Pacquaio believes fight with Mayweather will happen

MANILA – Fighter of the Decade Manny Pacquaio said that he and unbeaten American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. will meet in the boxing ring.

“I think it will happen,” claimed the Filipino boxing champ in a phone interview. “We will make an announcement before the end of the month. I think it (fight) will happen.”

According to the Los Angeles Times last Saturday, both parties already agreed on the showdown. The fight will happen at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The final date is still up for discussion but Pacquiao hinted that it will happen on May 2 because “that’s what Mayweather wants.”
