MANILA — The northeast monsoon or “hangin amihan” or will bring light rains as it continue to affect northern Luzon, says PAGASA.

”Northeast monsoon affecting Northern Luzon… The regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos will be cloudy with light rains,” PAGASA said Saturday on its 5:00 a.m. advisory.

For Metro Manila, PAGASA said it will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, bringing in isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

On the other hand, Central Visayas and the provinces of Masbate, Sorsogon, Albay, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, Dinagat, Misamis Oriental and Camiguin will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The areas are near the Low Pressure Area (LPA), which can bring in more rains.

Meanwhile, other areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, accompanied by rainshowers or thunderstorms.

The state-run weather bureau also issued a gale warning over the seaboards of northern Luzon and Central Luzon.

“Fisherfolks and those using small sea craft are advised not to venture out over the said seaboards,” it warned.
