MANILA – Following the controversial “audio scandal” involving her and actor Daniel Padilla, Jasmine Curtis-Smith said she reached out to Kathryn Bernando and other people involved.

She said that she had a hard time dealing with the controversy involving a 90-second clip which made rounds online last September.

“Siyempre po noong una, nahirapan ako, (At first, I had a difficult time) but I had the advice of the right people. I had the right people around me. Ang maganda, hindi ako nahirapan i-approach ‘yung mga taong kasama doon sa isyu na ‘yon, (The good thing about it is, I didn’t find it hard talking with the people involved),” said the actress, who is in a relationship with singer Sam Concepcion.

Padilla also admitted after the incident that the clip strained his relationship with rumored girlfriend, and on-screen partner, Kathryn.

While the two have since patched things up, Jasmine said that she had to talk to all the people involved in the issue, and was also able to reach-out to Kathryn.

“Sinigurado ko na nakausap ko silang lahat, na kahit papaano, naka-reach out ako para maayos ‘yon. Kahit sa amin man lang, ‘yung mga pangalan na nasama doon sa isyu,” she added.

(I made sure that at least, I was able to talk to the people involved.)
