MANILA – Following his recent win against former unbeaten Chris Algieri on Sunday, Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquaio cannot help but ask again – will Floyd Mayweather fight him this time?

“The fans deserve that fight. It’s time to make that happen,” said Pacquaio when asked why he was very vocal about wanting to fight Mayweather next.

The whole world has seen how Pacquaio seems to be in top form after knocking down Algieri six times. The impressive victory was his third straight following a loss at the hands of Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012.

“I think it’s time to step out and say yes so that people can now prepare for that fight early next year,” said Pacquaio as a challenge to Mayweather.

He added, “It’s been long time that I want that fight. I think I’m just the one who is talking about that fight while the other camp keeps on denying and doesn’t want to talk about it. But right now, I think the fans are more involved now.”
