MANILA – Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said he already expected Vice President Jejomar Binay’s decision to withdraw from their debate adding that it only “destroyed whatever credibility was left of him.”
“In a way it is expected…” Trillanes said in a radio interview on Tuesday.
He added that he knew it from the very start and that Binay’s word should not be trusted.
“This one should destroy whatever credibility was left of him,” he said.
The debate was earlier scheduled by the Kapisanan ng mg Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) for November 27 after Binay challenged Trillanes, and the latter accepted.
Despite Binay’s decision, Trillanes said he is still ready for a debate should Binay change his mind.
“Call pa rin ako (I am still up for it)..,” he said.
