MANILA — Globe Telecom Inc. earlier this week has launched a new market device offer that allows prepaid customers to upgrade to a smartphone and earn back their money the more they use it, allowing them to even get their phone for free.

Globe Telecom said that its recently launched GoGadgets follows the success of GoSAKTO, a prepaid service that allows customers to create their own promo, giving them the freedom to choose the kind and amount of calls, texts and MB they need for the validity they want.

To recall, the improved GoSAKTO was launched last June that allowed subscribers to add apps and sites to their promo, letting them create over 200 million different calls, texts and app combos.

Senior Vice President of Globe Consumer Mobilie Marketing Issa Cabreria said that GoGadgets is another effort that has never been done by any other prepaid provider before.

“Our customers can expect that we will continue to innovate to provide the best deals and the best value for our customers,” Cabreria said in a statement.

“We at Globe Prepaid continue to provide a game-changing experience for our customers through the introduction of our innovative and first-in-market products and services,” she added.

With GoGadgets, discounted smartphones are offered to Globe Prepaid customers together with an opportunity to get their money back every time they register with GoGadgets promos.

To register with GoGadgets, Globe Prepaid customers need to create their own GoGadgets bundle where they can choose from different smartphones, prepaid promos and registration periods and get their money back via GCash as they register with their chosen promos.

Subscribers can register by dialing *143#, select GoSakto and then choose a gadget, Globe said.
