MANILA, Philippines- Hearthrob actor Enrique Gil explained why the delay in filming his latest big screen flick, “The Bet.”

“Nag-stop muna kami ng taping, wala pa kasi ‘yong script. Inaayos muna ng team ‘yong script, tsaka ‘yong director ata, may change of director. So hindi pa makapag-start kasi wala pang script. So we still want to achieve the target date, pero delayed lang ‘yong taping,” he clarified in a recent interbview.

Enrique stars opposite Liza Soberano in the movie, which marks the second time the two will work together. The first time was for the movie “She’s The One” with Dingdong Dantes and Bea Alonzo.

Fans of the actor-model-dancer were thrilled, meanwhile, to see Enrique on this month’s cover of Candy Magazine, as well as to watch him perform the closing act at the Candy Fair 2014.

After his performance, the Kapamilya talent was asked if he would take part in next year’s Cosmo Bachelor Bash, to which he replied: “Nag-Cosmo na ako dati, e, pero for now ayaw muna ni Mr. M [Johnny Manahan],” he said, referring to the talent manager of Star Magic.

“So wag muna raw, dadating din naman raw sa stage na ‘yon. So dito muna, hindi naman kailangan magmadali.”
