MANILA – An impeachment complaint against President Aquino was filed on Friday at the Office of the Ombudsman by a legal counsel of the late former President Ferdinand Marcos.

According to a radio report, Lawyer Oliver Lozano said that following the Supreme Court’s (SC) declaration of the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) to be unconstitutional, President Aquino is culpable for violating the Constitution.

Lozano earlier told the Philippine Star that he will file an impeachment complaint against President Aquino.

The complaint will be lodged in Congress through Kabataan Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon’s office.

Ridon earlier showed support for the idea of filing an impeachment complaint and vowed for her endorsement of the compliant to other military party-list in Congress.

Ridon was referring to military party-list who also has expressed their opposition to the controversial DAP on previous reports.

Lozano was also reported in 2013 to have filed an impeachment complaint against Aquino over the DAP adding that Aquino should be held liable for allocating P72 billion in supposed savings of government agencies for the Congress approval.
