Palace prays for Sen. Santiago’s speedy recovery

MANILA — Malacanang on Wednesday wished for the speedy recovery of Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago.

“We are one with the people in praying for the health and recovery of Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago,” said Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr.

“Despite her condition, she has devoted herself to the performance of her duties as a legislator and public servant,” he said.

Santiago has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
