MANILA – Veteran music diva and pop-jazz  songstress Kuh Ledesma revealed her excitement over the launch of her newest album, “Memories.”

Released under Universal Records, the album showcases Ledesma’s rendition of seven songs by singer-composer Cecile Azarcon.

“Sabi ko kung pwede panay positive songs ni Cecile Azarcon… seven songs,” said Ledesma during the album launch held on Friday.

Some of the songs included in the album are “I Think I’m In Love,” “One More Try,” “So It’s You,” “Special Memory,” “Huwag Kang Mangako,” “How Did You Know” and “Hello.”
Ledesma, who marks her 35th year in the music industry, is also readying herself for three major shows to commemorate the anniversary.

“May 35 years. Actually, wow, I cannot complain of anything, I’ve been very active although there were some years na mas active ako sa US, out of the country. Pero I’ve always been doing corporate and private shows on the side so that kept me busy pa din,” she said.

She also disclosed plans of writing a book about her music career.

“Mas marami pa akong planong gustong gawin, I want to finish a book on my 35 years. Hindi ko alam kung matatapos yan this year kasi there’s also plan of a Music and Magic – Kuh Ledesma reunion mga September, I believe. And then a tour in October and November sa US. Next year naman ay 35th solo years, yung wala yung Music and Magic,” she said.
