Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati finally show Baby Zion to the public

MANILA — After keeping their little bundle of joy away from public scrutiny for over a year, celebrity couple Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati gave the audience of their reality show “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez” a peak at Baby Zion.

On Sunday night’s episode on E! Channel, Richard talked about being a parent for the first time and the troubles of raising their kid on foreign land.

“In Geneva, nobody would help us. There was no household help, it was just me and Sarah,” Richard said on the show. “We were alternating because baby Zion would wake up in the middle of the night, I will change his diapers, I will make his milk, and Sarah would sleep. During the daytime, I would sleep, and Sarah would take care of baby Zion,” he added.

Despite the lack of sleep, Richard says that he “wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Raymond, Richard’s twin brother, also shared about bringing Baby Zion to Manila without making it a public frenzy. The couple decided to bring their baby to the Philippines after seeing the Filipinos’ welcome when they came back. Richard then consulted his family about bringing the youngest Gutierrez to the country.

“It was also so hard for them because the media was so hungry for answers,” said Raymond.

“We were going through a lot. My contract’s about to end, Sarah’s in the middle of her contract,” Richard added.

Esther, Sarah’s mother, traveled with Baby Zion and was able to bring him into the country without anybody knowing what was happening by covering the baby’s stroller with a blanket. Eddie Gutierrez and Annabel Rama also helped bring Zion home.
