PH Ambassador calls on Timor Leste Vice Foreign Minister

In line with the Embassy’s continuing commitment to nurture cordial and robust ties with the Timor-Leste Government, Philippine Ambassador to Timor-Leste Maria Aileen H. Bugarin paid a courtesy call on Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Constâncio da Conceição Pinto on February 3.

The meeting centered on the preparations for the inaugural policy consultations between the Philippines and Timor-Leste which will be held in Manila this year.

In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed between the two countries’ Foreign Ministries last June 2013, Vice Foreign Minister da Conceição Pinto will head the Timor-Leste delegation to the bilateral consultations.

The policy consultations is also aimed at further enhancing the friendly relations between the Philippines and Timor-Leste through closer dialogue and exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
