Duterte threatens to destroy Trillanes

Published

on

President Rodrigo Duterte threatened to “destroy” Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV while pointing out allegations against the lawmaker such as that of hiring hundreds of consultants and having several bank accounts in different countries.

According to Duterte, Trillanes has offshore bank accounts in Hong Kong, China, Australia and the United States.

Duterte also claimed that the senator hired more than 200 consultants in relation to his disbursement acceleration program funds.

Denying Duterte’s claims, Trillanes said that the president is spreading “fake news,” adding that he would sign a bank secrecy waiver and pass it to the Anti-Money Laundering Council for evaluation.

Aggravated, Trillanes responded that he will slap to Duterte’s face the certification that would prove his record is clean.

“Aside from the waiver, we’ll have to identify a bank, ask for certification from them that there is none and I will slap that to Duterte’s face,” Trillanes said.
