Ex-DND spokesperson passes away at 82

MANILA — Lawyer Jose T. Flores Jr., former spokesman of the Department of National Defense (DND), died due to a lingering illness. He was 82.

Flores was the speech writer of former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile during his term as secretary of national defense.

He is survived by his wife, Dra. Letica Orap-Flores, children Lelisa, Jopro, Aldrin and Janette and grandchildren.

Flores’ remains lie in state at the St. Peter’s Chapel on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.

Burial will be at the Christ the King Columbarium in Quezon City on November 30.
