MANILA The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) reported that as Tropical Depression Maring affected parts of southern Luzon, the Gumaca-Lopez-Tagkawayan 69-kilovolt (kV) line went out of service at 3:52 p.m. Tuesday, affecting customers of the Quezon Electric Cooperative (QuezelcoI).

In an advisory, the NGCP also announced that the La Trinidad-Mankayan-Sagada 69-kV line, which services clients of the Benguet Electric Company (Beneco), went out of service at 4:17 p.m. Tuesday but was restored 40 minutes later at 4:57 p.m.

The Batangas-Bolboc 69-kV line, which services customers of Meralco, was restored by 2 p.m. after going off at 1:23 p.m.

The NGCP said it will continue inspections and restoration of lines in affected areas as soon as the weather allows it. (NGCP PR)
