DPWH to repair 11 roads in QC, Pasig, Caloocan this weekend

MANILA — Some 11 road sections in Quezon City, Pasig City, and Caloocan City will undergo repair starting 11 p.m. Friday.

According to Melvin Navarro, Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) director, the damaged concrete pavement in these road sections will be replaced.

In Quezon City, repair will be done on the second lane, southbound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue from Dome St. to Sgt. Rivera; second lane, southbound direction of Mindanao Ave. after Tandang Sora in front of Shell; third lane, southbound direction of EDSA from Kaingin Road to Dario Bridge; truck lane, southbound direction of E. Rodriguez Ave. after Greenmeadows Ave. and after Boni Serrano Ave.; northbound direction of C.P. Garcia Ave. near E. Jacinto St. and between Velasquez and Alley; northbound direction of V. Luna Road from East Ave. to Kalayaan Ave.; and second lane, northbound direction of Quirino Highway corner La Mesa Dam Road.

In Pasig City, the southbound direction of C-5 Road near Julia Vargas and northbound direction of Manila East Road in front of SM East Ortigas will be repaired.

In Caloocan City, a portion of the MacArthur Highway’s northbound direction near Monumento Circle is included in the weekend road repair.

Motorists are advised to avoid these areas and use alternative routes.

Navarro said the repairs will be completed and the roads will be passable by 5 a.m. on Monday. (PNA)
