DAVAO CITY, Aug. 3 – The Davao Martial Arts Festival 2017 will be held on August 5 at the Kadayawan Hall of the NCCC Mall featuring the exciting various martial arts from all over the world. Organizer Ryan Cordero said the one-day event will start with the ITF Taekwondo Invitational tournament from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be followed by the Martial Arts Demonstration until 5 p.m. Demonstrations will be made by ITF Davao on taekwondo, Wansai on Karate and Jujitsu, New Life BJJ on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Mandirigman Kalidradman on Kali/FMA, Davao Kendo Club on Kendo, Sambo Pilipinas on Sambo and Southern Mindanao Aikido on Aikido. The third event will be the Panasangka (Arnis Tournament) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and to be followed by the awarding of prizes. The event is organized by the ITF Taekwondo Davao, Stamina Martial Arts (Tang Soo Do), Kumbate Martial Arts, Wansai Karate and Aikicomjukado. Admission is free to the public. The weigh-in and final pairing for the tournament players and the Rules Orientation will be on Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Bagani Martial Arts Center. All coaches and players are requested to come on time.
