Lumacad, Pael to fight vacant ABF Super Bantamweight Title in Davao City

DAVAO CITY—Undefeated Ryan “The Fire Fist” Lumacad of MP Highland Gym will fight Renoel Pael of Wacky Salud Gym for the vacant Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) super bantamweight title on Friday, May 12, at the Waterfront Insular Hotel Pavillion here.

ABF president Naris Singwancha from Thailand is arriving to supervise the championship fight, which is part of the “Davao Boxing Showdown” boxing presentation of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) as part of the 3rd Philippine Boxing Convention.

The 25-year-old Lumacad, current Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super bantamweight champion, holds a record of 12 wins, seven knockouts and three draws.

Pael, 26, also PBF super flyweight king is toting 21 wins with five losses and one draw.

“Magandang laban ito dahil pareho silang magaling (This will be a good bout because they are both good),” said promoter Brico Santig.
