MANILA–The Philippine National Police (PNP) has extended its support to the deployed policemen committed for security and public safety operations for the 30th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit 2017 which is being held from Wednesday to Saturday (April 26-29) at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

Chief Supt. Noel Baraceros, ASEAN Task Force 2017 operations officer, on Wednesday ensured that all the deployed police force is well taken care of.

The deployed police personnel were provided with enough water supply, proper billeting, hygiene kits, medicines and other logistical needs.

“We are giving all the necessary support for the deployed PNP personnel and the Department of Health (DOH) team is conducting continuous check up to our cops,” Baraceros said.

Each of the police personnel was tasked to render an eight-hour duty to secure the safety of the delegates.

Last Sunday, PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa officially deployed the 27,425 police force in different parts of Metro Manila together with other agencies to secure safety of the heads state of the 10 ASEAN-member nations, observer states and other delegates for the 30th ASEAN Summit 2017.
