DPWH to conduct repair, reblocking on 8 Metro Manila roads this weekend

MANILA–The Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) is set to resume this weekend its road repair and reblocking on eight road sections in the cities of Quezon, Makati, Pasig, and Valenzuela.

According to DPWH-NCR Director Melvin Navarro the repairs will be undertaken starting at 11:00 p.m. on Friday.

He assured that the roads will open at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, May 1, as they are using one day-curing concrete mix for the repair works.

The road works will be the following: second lane, southbound direction of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue from Roosevelt Avenue to Quezon Avenue in Quezon City; along southbound direction of C5 before Lanuza Avenue, Pasig City and from Makati/Pasig Boundary to Commando Link, Makati City.

Reblocking will similarly cover the second lane, northbound direction of Mindanao Avenue from Old Sauyo Road to Mindanao Tunnel; fifth lane, northbound direction of Commonwealth Avenue before Litex Road; second lane, northbound direction of Quirino Highway from Mindanao Avenue to Bernardino Street; and the first lane, northbound direction of Congressional Avenue from Luzon Avenue to Visayas Avenue in Quezon City will likewise be repaired.

Intermittent section of McArthur Highway, northbound direction from Cayetano Street to China Bank in Valenzuela City will also be repaired.

The DPWH advised motorists to take alternate route.
