QC Mayor joins Smart City Expo World Congress

MANILA–Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista has left for Spain to attend the Smart City Expo World Congress.

The Mayor left Tuesday night and is expected to return on 25th of April, Tuesday.

Before his departure, Mayor Bautista issued Office Order 63-2017 designating Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte – Alimurung as acting mayor.

Councilor Marie Grace Preciosa Hipolito-Castelo will be acting Vice Mayor from 18 April to 23 April while Councilor Anthony Peter D. Crisologo will take over from 24 April to 25 April.

“Vice Mayor Belmonte-Alimurung, Councilor Hipolito-Castelo and Crisologo shall exercise and perform the duties and responsibilities of the Mayor and Vice Mayor as provided for under Republic Act 7160 in the Locale Government Circle of 1991. They shall supervise all operational and administrative matters under their jurisdictions, except those which are policy – determining in nature, including the power to appoint, suspend or dismiss employees,” the order signed by Mayor Bautista said.
