Transport dept commends honest NAIA personnel

MANILA—The Department of Transportation has cited two airport personnel and a taxi driver for demonstrating the value of honesty.

Wheelchair porter Rizalde Ocde returned the PHP700,000 in cash he found at the NAIA Terminal 3 departure area.

Taxi driver Antonio Infanta also returned the PHP220,000 cash left by a passenger in his cab.

Meanwhile, airport security guard Alfredo Baldoza returned a pouch he found at the NAIA Terminal 3 containing USD5,500.

Transport Secretary Arthur Tugade gave each of the three reward money from his personal funds and cited them for their heroic deeds.

He also urged the public to emulate their acts of goodwill.
