MANILA – Hillarie Danielle Parungao, Candidate No. 19, was crowned this year’s Miss World Philippines, outshining 25 other candidates in the annual beauty contest. She will then represent the country in the Miss World pageant to be held in December at Sanyang, China.

Aside from taking home the crown, Parungao also received four special awards, including the Best in Long Gown, Best in Swimsuit, Best in Fashion Runway and Best in Sports Challenge.  She was also a sponsor favorite as she was named Miss Figlia, Miss Solaire, Miss Phoenix, Miss Technomarine and Miss Zen Institute.

Miss World Philippines 2015 runners-up and awardees were First Princess Marita Cassandra Naidas (also Miss Bench), Second Princess Mia Allyson Howell (also Best in Talent, Miss Fila), Third Princess Maria Vanessa Wright (also Miss Jazzy France) and Fourth Princess Emma Mary Tiglao (also Most Unique Talent, Miss Photogenic, Miss Philippine Airlines).

The Miss World Philippines’ grand coronation night was held yesterday at The Theater in Solaire Resort and Casino in Pasay City. It was hosted by Miss World 2011 First Princess Gwendoline Ruais, Iya Villania, and Tim Yap.

Among the pageants’ judges were GMA-7 Vice President for Program Management Joey Abacan, Bench CEO Ben Chan, retired Air Force Col. Ricardo Nolasco, former Senator Migs Zubiri, former Governor Chavit Singson, Miss World Philippines Director Cory Quirino, Miss World Philippines 2014 Valerie  Weigmann, Miss World Philippines 2013 Megan Young, and Rosalinda leading man Fernando Carillo.
