MANILA – Kapamilya actress-comedienne Angelica Panganiban clarified that she was not calling out co-star Bea Alonzo in her Instagram posts so there was no need for bashers to vent all their hate towards her.

The issue of a rift started when Angelica posted in her Instagram account a photo of her walking in a street supposedly in abroad. She captioned it, “Dahil puro trabaho at walang bakasyon, kunwari na lang nasa ibang bansa ako… At makikiuso ako sa mga pictorial nila kapag out of the country sila. May posing dapat na naglalakad. Later na ‘yung tumatawa kunwari tapos nakunan ng camera. Kunwari stolen happiness.”

(Because I’m working and have no time for vacation, I’ll just pretend I’m in abroad. And I’ll copy their pictorials when they’re out of the country. There has to be a posing while walking. Then later, while pretending to laugh and caught on camera. I’ll pretend it’s stolen happiness.)

Bea’s supporters then reacted negatively towards Angelica’s post, assuming that she referred to their idol who was fond of trips abroad.

“Napaka-insecure talaga ni Angelica. Lahat nalang ng kinaiinggitan niya, inaaway niya… Kaya hindi ka mag-boom kasi napakasama ng ugali mo. Wala kang movie na pumatok. Tapos ngayon, nanay na agad role mo. Twenty-five ka lang naman,” one of Bea’s fans, daaanhill25, commented on Angelica’s post.

(Angelica’s so insecure. She starts fights with all those she envies… That’s why you don’t boom because you’re really mean. None of your movies was a blockbuster. And now, you’re already portraying the role of a mother. You’re just 25.)

“‘Wag naman masyado mapagmataas Ms. Angelica. Papansin ka lagi. E ‘di wow…Papansin ka lagi para mapag-usapan ka,” another Instagram user, misssexytatots_061577, commented. “Opinyon ko lang ‘yun. Idol ko din naman si Angel e. Minsan kase nakakasobra na magsalita.”

(Don’t be too proud Ms. Angelica. You’re always an attention-seeker. Wow, then. You’re an attention-seeker who wants to be talked about… That’s just my opinion. Angel’s my idol. But sometimes, she talks too much.)

Angelica’s fans, for their part, defended the actress-comedienne.

“Hindi naman talaga nagpaparinig si Angelica at lalo hindi si Bea. Sabi niya ibang bansa… E si Bea sa Bohol lang naman nagbakasyon. Praning lang talaga ‘yung mga tao,” one of Angelica’s followers, mommy_ni_aiden, commented in the said post.

(Angelica’s not calling out anyone and especially not to Bea. She said in a different country… Bea  only spent her vacation in Bohol. People are just paranoid.)

Responding to the issue, Angelica posted another photo in her Instagram account. She also apologized to Bea’s fans but slammed her bashers and haters. She captioned it, “Pasensya na sa mga fans ni Bea. Sa mga malalawak ang isip, pasensya na. At salamat. Sa mga makikipot, sana ‘wag kayong mga praning.”

(I’m sorry to Bea’s fans. To the open-minded, I’m sorry. And thank you. To the close-minded, I hope you’re not paranoid.”

“Sa mga nagsasabing gusto ko magpasikat kaya ko siya ‘pinaparinggan,’ wala akong planong sumikat. Ni minsan ‘di ko pinangarap na sumikat. Ang gusto ko lang, magtrabaho. Ayoko ng sikat. Ayoko ng hinahabol habol. Gets? Sa pagkakaalam ko, kaibigan ko si Bea. ‘Yun ang tingin ko sa kanya,” she continued.

(To those saying that I want to be talked about that’s why I’m calling her out, I have no plans to be popular. I never dreamt of becoming famous. What I want is to work. I don’t want to be popular. I don’t want to be chased. Gets? As far as I know, Bea’s my friend. That’s how I look at her.)

Angelica then urged her bashers to stop following her in Instagram and to stop comparing her to Bea as she was incomparable to ‘the queen of ABS-CBN.’

The actress also asserted that she could not care less about her image and would voice out her hate towards anyone rather than calling them out. She would, however, defend herself and a friend if they were being pitted against each other.
