MANILA – Accidental on-screen loveteam Alden Richards and “Yaya Dub” or Maine Mendoza’s ‘kalyeserye’ has been supported and approved by Catholic groups, saying that the popular tandem has been showing good values on marriage in its segment.

According to a Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) report, the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), Radyo Veritas and 100% Katolikong Pinoy have all given positive comments on AlDub’s ‘kalyeserye’ segment in GMA-7’s noontime show Eat Bulaga.

After the ‘Yakie’ wedding of Yaya Dub and Franki Arinoli or Jose Manalo, the CBCP tweeted ‘2-million tweets for Filipino marriage moral standards.’ Prior the tweet, Lola Nidora or Wally Bayola told Yaya Dub that true love could not be bought by money.

“It’s not enough to love someone because he is wealthy… True love is felt, not bought. It is kept hidden and revealed at the right time,” she said.

Just like the CBCP, Radyo Veritas was pleased with the show’s kalyeserye. It also tweeted, ‘We salute Eat Bulaga for the pure intentions of the kalyeserye to bring back to mind the basics of love and responsibility.’

Agreeing with the two, 100% Katolikong Pinoy also expressed support. It tweeted, ‘We support the kalyeserye because the message is wholesome… It reflects how love should be. Love is patient. Love is kind.’

Truly, AlDub’s kalyeserye has been one of the most talked about television series at present, even gaining the approval of religious groups. But the question remained, when will Alden and Yaya Dub finally meet in person?
