MANILA — Interior Secretary Mar Roxas will be presented as the “much-improved version” of President Aquino according to Liberal Party spokesman Eastern Samar Rep. Ben Evardone.

In an interview with dzIQ Radyo Inquirer, Evardone said that Roxas should emulate and improve the achievements set by the Aquino.

“I don’t think you need to depart from this. You can improve some aspects. But you need not deviate. If it’s necessary for him (Roxas) to be a clone of President P-Noy, so be it. It can’t be that Mar Roxas would reinvent himself. Maybe an improved version of President P-Noy is what we can say about Sec[retary] Mar,” he said.

He also said that the party is planning to focus on getting more support from the Classes D and E starting “from now until the homestretch of the campaign.”

This, Evardone said is because Roxas is already more popular among “Intellectual voters.”

“Because we think he is strong with intellectual voters, they know his competence and integrity, but he is not yet that strong in Class D and E,” Evardone said.
