MANILA — Justice Secretary Leila M. De Lima on Monday confirmed that Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director Franklin Bucayu has already filed his resignation.

Bucayu’s resignation letter was addressed to President Benigno S. Aquino III which was submitted to De Lima.

However, De Lima clarified that she has not yet forwarded the resignation letter to President Aquino because she will still talk on Tuesday with the replacement of Bucayu, whom she did not yet name.

De Lima stressed that she will submit the resignation letter of Bucayu, together with the endorsement for the replacement for the post, at the proper time.
