MANILA — Kris Aquino said she is to blame for the cancellation of “The Buzz,” ABS-CBN’s Sunday talk show.

“Honestly, I am to blame, and I own up to it,” Aquino said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Aquino explained that she sought permission to excuse herself from further hosting the program.

This is following President Benigno Aquino III’s ┬ámessage to her on New Year’s Day asking her to set aside Sundays for their family.

She said that she asked the ABS-CBN executives to excuse her from hosting the program.

Apparently, Toni Gonzaga, another co-host in the show also had a similar appeal to the station heads following her upcoming wedding with long-time partner Paul Soriano.

“Ako lang naman ang aalis, eh, pero it just so happens na may pinaalam din si Toni. Everything fell into place, and unfortunately nga, si Boy ang nalungkot, and I felt so guilty… Nag-sorry naman kami [ni Toni],” she added.

(I was the only one leaving (the show) but it so happens that Toni also made the request. Everything fell into place and unfortunately, Boy was sad, and I felt so guilty. Toni and I said sorry.)
