Filipino talents make Samsung’s premium phone-inspired masterpieces

MANILA, April 18 (PNA) — Filipino art and fashion talents have made masterpieces inspired by Samsung’s newest premium smartphones, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

Samsung Electronics Company Philippines Corp. (SEPCO) launched in the Philippine market its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge at Mega Fashion Hall of SM Mega Mall in Mandaluyong City on Friday with its “next is now” technology — bringing future smartphone design and technology today.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge both have 5.1” Quad HD Super AMOLED display with elegant glass and aluminium frame. The only difference is Galaxy S6 Edge has the world’s first dual-edge screen.

Specifications of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge include Android™ Lollipop, 64bit octa-core processor with 14mm technology, 32GB/64GB internal memory + 3GB RAM, LTE ready, and dual-SIM active.

Another innovation of Samsung’s latest premium smartphones is its F1.9-aperture front and rear camera, which is good for all light conditions. Both work with 16 megapixel rear camera and 5 MP front cam with faster launching of camera at 0.7 seconds and by tapping the Home button twice.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge also level up its charging and battery features. The two new models have built-in wireless charging and gives four-hour battery life for 10 minutes of charging.

Samsung Galaxy S6 suggested retail prices pegged at Php35,990 (32GB) and Php41,990 (64GB) while Galaxy S6 Edge at Php41,990 (32GB) and Php47,990 (64GB).

Samsung’s innovation has also inspired world-renowned Filipino glass sculptor Ramon Orlina as he created exclusive collection of six finely-crafted glass sculptures inspired by the Galaxy S6 Edge while leading industry jeweller Marilou Co of Marilou Jewellery created Galaxy S6 case with 60 brilliant diamonds set on a luxurious bed of 18k yellow and white gold.

On the other hand, talents from the Fashion and Design Council of the Philippines (FDCP) — the country’s premier fashion design organization composed of industry veterans and fresh talents, created Galaxy S6 series color-inspired fashion collection and accessories pieces.

Veterans Randy Ortiz, Jojie Lloren, Albert Andrada, and Joey Samson with Kristel Yulo, Edwin Ao and accessories designer Malou Araneta created masterpieces inspired by Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in Black Sapphire.

For Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge gold platinum are OJ Hofer, Joyce Makitalo, Ivarluski Aseron, Len Nepomuceno-Martel, PJ Arañador, Gerry Katigbak, and Joey Enriquez.

For Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge white pearl are Rajo Laurel, Anthony Nocom, Arcy Gayatin, Ronaldo Arnaldo, Noel Crisostomo, Dong Omaga-Diaz, and Maco Custodio.

For Galaxy S6 blue topaz are Joel Escober, Ramon Esteban, James Reyes, Happy Andrada, and Vittorio Barba.

For Galaxy S6 Edge green emerald are Pablo Cabahug, JC Buendia, Avel Bacudio, Hindy Weber-Tantoco, Frederick Peralta, and Jerome Ang.
