Henry Sy included in Forbes world’s 100 richest list

MANILA — Henry Sy Sr. was listed as the only Filipino among the Top 100 richest people on the planet, according  to the 2015 annual ranking of Forbes Magazine.

Sy and 10 other Filipinos belong to the lists of world’s dollar billionaires.

He has an estimated net worth of $14.2 billion and was slated at rank 73 on the Forbes’ global list.

Also among the list of 290 newcomers in the list is Sen. Manuel Villar, a real estate magnate who focused on his business following his defeat to President Aquino during the 2010 presidential election.

 

Meanwhile, the richest Filipino list includes John Gokongwei, 87, second place and ranked 254th globally with an estimated net worth at $5.8 billion.

Enrique Razon followed in 3rd place with $5.2 billion; Andrew Tan at fourth with $4.8 billion; Lucio Tan and George Ty at fifth with $4.4 billion; David Consunji at 6th with $4.1 billion; Tony Tan Caktiong at 7th with $2.7 billion ; Lucio and Susan Co at 8th with $2.3 billion; Robert Coyiuto Jr. at 9th with $1.8 billion and Manuel Villar at 10th with $1.6 billion.
