MANILA – San Miguel Beer forward Arwind Santos won the Finals MVP award in the recently concluded 2015 PBA Philippine Cup.

Santos, who averages 18.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game, gave his all when his team went up against Alaska Aces on Wednesday night with 22 points ,12 rebounds, and four blocks to give the Beermen their first all-Filipino title since 2001.

“He is being criticized for shooting too many outside shots but earlier it was the one that gave us the advantage,” said SMB head coach Leo Austria, referring to Santos’ 3-pointer that gave the Beermen back the lead with less than a minute left.

“It feels like we’ve been able to get the trust of the San Miguel fans back after all our failures,” said Santos after winning Game 7, 80-78.

Santos thanked his teammates, coaches, management, and fans when he received the award.
