Business as usual for Tiu amid senate probe

MANILA – Business continues as usual for Antonio ‘Tony’ Tiu despite being grilled in senate hearings for his ownership of the controversial farm in Batangas.

Tiu, who is the owner of two publicly listed firms, is accused of being used by Vice President Jejomar Binay as his dummy to hide his assets.

Tiu, who holds ownership of AgriNurture and Greenergy Holdings, is claiming that he owns the property in Batangas which was allegedly owned by the Vice President.

In a data released by the Philippine Stock Exchange, Tiu’s Greenergy was shown to have lost more than a billion in October while Agrinurture lost an estimated P200 million.

This means, that over the past months, since his involvement in the issue, Tiu has lost more than P1.2 billion.

Despite this, Tiu said in a statement that his business operations were not affected by the controversy.
