MANILA – Aside from boxing and basketball, Manny Pacquiao is also a fan of billiards. Thus, he was selected to host the $150,000 (around P6.7 million) Philippine Open 10-ball Championship set to happen on December 8 to 16 at SM City in General Santos City.

The smaller tournament was held last September wherein Thorsten Hohmann was announced as the individual champion while Jeffrey Ignacio and Jeffrey de Luna won the doubles’ title.

Hohmann will defend his crown against Shane Van Boening. Meanwhile, joining Boening will be Mika Immonen, Rodney Morris, and John Morra.

The winner of the singles event will bag $50,000 while the doubles champion will get $100,000.

Efren “Bata” Reyes and Francisco “Django” Bustamante will team-up for the doubles and will play as well in the singles event.
