DOTC: Free rides in MRT-3, LRT-1 and 2, Pasig ferry next week

MANILA — Free rides at the Metro and Light Rail Transit (MRT/LRT), and the Pasig River Ferry Service can be availed of by government employees beginning next week.
According to the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), these free rides will be given in commemoration of the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) 114th anniversary.
Free rides for government employees on Sept. 19 will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said via Twitter.
The Philippine Information Agency (PIA), meanwhile, reminded that only bonafide government employees with valid and updated identification cards shall be allowed to avail of the free rides.
Government employees without their IDs will not be able to avail of the service.
