All my bags are packed, I’m ready for warrant of arrest – Revilla

MANILA – Unfazed by hold departure order (HDO), Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. on Tuesday said his bags are packed and ready not to leave the country but for his impending arrest over the pork barrel scam.

”I’m ready for warrant of arrest. My bags are ready, it’s in my car. Wherever they will arrest me, I’m ready,” Revilla said in a media interview in his Senate office in Pasay city.

Revilla said he expected already the Sandiganbayan’s first division to issue the HDO after the fifth division released HDO against Senator Jinggoy Estrada last Monday.

”I’m expecting it (HDO). It’s not a problem with me because I have no plans to leave the country. I will face it (charges),” Revilla said.

”If I have really no plans to escape, I should have done it when I went to Holy Land (last April). I believe I can defend myself and there is still justice like in the Sandiganbayan,” he added.

The actor-turned-politician said he is ready to be detained anywhere.

”If they want, they can put me in a dungeon. No problem with me,” Revilla said.

While in jail, Revilla said he would use his time in reading books, including Bible.

Aside from Revilla and Estrada, Senator Juan Ponce Enrile has also been charged with plunder for allegedly receiving kickbacks from the priority development assistance fund (PDAF) they released to the bogus non-government organizations (NGOs) of Janet Lim Napoles.
