MANILA — The Office of the Ombudsman (Ombudsman) on Friday filed before the Sandiganbayan the plunder case against suspected scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles and co-respondents Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Ramon Revilla Jr. and Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada in connection with the alleged misuse of priority development assistance fund (PDAF).

On Friday afternoon, five representatives of the Ombudsman brought five boxes of documents in a trolley inside the Sandiganbayan.

The security personnel of the Sandiganbayan carefully inspected the boxes before they were allowed entry in the docket area.

The Ombudsman on Thursday dismissed all the motions for reconsideration (MRs) of all the respondents in the plunder case, as well as the application for immunity of Napoles.

Napoles is the alleged “brains” behind the P10-billion pork barrel and the P900-million Malampaya Fund scams.

The crime of plunder is a non-bailable offense.
